When the Gujranwala result is due

All nine Punjab boards announce together on a date set by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC). The 2026 Part 1 result is scheduled for 22 October at 10:00 AM. Gujranwala’s 12th class result came on its scheduled date, 23 September 2026, so the calendar has held so far this year. Last year the Part 1 result was announced on 15 October 2025, after exams held from 20 May to 13 June.

Position holders may come a day early

Before this year’s 12th class result, BISE Gujranwala announced its group-wise position holders on 22 September, one day before the full result. If the board does the same for Part 1, top students’ names may appear on 21 October. That announcement covers only the toppers. Every other student’s result opens on the result day itself, on the board website and by SMS.

SMS: send your roll number to 800299

Open the BISE Gujranwala website
  1. Open bisegrw.edu.pk and go to the results section.
  2. Select Intermediate Part 1, First Annual Examination 2026.
  3. Enter your roll number, check every digit, and submit.

If the site is slow, type only your roll number in a new SMS and send it to 800299. Later the board uploads a gazette PDF that lists every candidate. It is the only way to look up a result by name: search your name inside the PDF, then confirm with your father’s name and college, because many students share the same name across six districts.

Last year regular candidates received their result cards through their colleges, while private candidates received theirs by post.

Less than half passed in 2025

BISE Gujranwala, Inter Part 1 2025Figure
Appeared1,45,417
Passed72,957
Pass percentage49.95%

Gujranwala had the second largest number of Part 1 candidates in Punjab in 2025, after Lahore (1,72,100). Just under half of them cleared every paper, a lower rate than Lahore (53.77%) or Faisalabad (55.74%) in the same year.

History of Pakistan: the paper that stopped most students

Subject, Part 1 2025Pass %
History of Pakistan47.54%
Mathematics62.94%
Psychology68.10%
Biology72.21%
English74.00%
Chemistry74.56%
Statistics74.97%
Computer Science79.01%
Physics81.62%

More than half the candidates who sat History of Pakistan at Gujranwala did not pass it. The same paper had a 71.11% pass rate at BISE Lahore and 75.41% at BISE Bahawalpur that year. It is a written paper with long answers, and students often leave it until the last weeks because it is not a science subject. At this board that is a costly choice.

Mathematics was the second hurdle. About one in three candidates did not pass it, the lowest Mathematics pass rate among the Punjab boards we have checked.

Group results, and a surprise in General Science

Group, Part 1 2025Pass %
Pre-Engineering64.52%
Pre-Medical60.50%
Commerce51.45%
General Science46.24%
Humanities41.71%

Humanities was lowest, as at most boards, which fits the History of Pakistan result. Less usual is General Science, which passed at a lower rate than Commerce. General Science students take Mathematics, and the weak Mathematics result at this board likely pulled the group down.

Using your result for Part 2

If you do not pass a paper in Part 1, you sit it again with your Part 2 exams and still move on to 12th class. For Gujranwala students, the 2025 figures point to two papers to start early: History of Pakistan for Humanities students, and Mathematics for Pre-Engineering, ICS and General Science students.

The pass mark question for 2026 (33% or the new 40%) is explained on our 11th class result 2026 page. For rechecking, apply online on bisegrw.edu.pk within the deadline in the board’s notice, usually about 15 days, and check the per-paper fee there first.
